I always happy cry at weddings, but I think I cried this most at this one.

I really can't say enough about Matt and Kaitlain, but I'm going to try. Kaitlain was what you'd call an "ideal client" from our very first interaction. She was organized, friendly, and booked me right after our initial consultation call. When we met for their engagement session on a *freezing* cold day in February, Matt was nothing but smiles, ease, and excitement for the session - something that's often rare in grooms-to-be. I could tell right away that these two trusted me to capture what they wanted, which always gives me an extra boost of creative confidence.

A few weeks later, after they received their gallery, Matt and Kaitlain took the time to set up a camera and record their reaction to the engagement photos! They did this completely on their own, and it was just about the best gift I could ever receive as a photographer. I eagerly looked forward to their big day with excitement all spring and summer, and it was definitely one for the books.

First of all, these two had the BEST bridal party. Everyone involved was genuinely happy to be there, supportive, and excited for "Mattlain" to tie the knot. Kaitlain did first looks with her mom, dad, brother, and mother-in-law, and you can see how much love was in the room from everyone - not just the couple. When she walked down the aisle a couple of hours later, there wasn't a dry eye in sight, including my own. Be sure to scroll down to see Matt's emotional reaction to his beautiful bride, even after having a first look earlier that day!

The toasts were genuine, comical, and also tearful at times. And then everyone hit the dance floor for a great party! We ended the night with a classic sparkler sendoff, and I couldn't be happier for these two to take the next step together as a couple. It took me days to come down off of the "post-wedding 'high'", and I'm so excited to share some of my favorite images from the day below.
